2. The Way We Use Information.
a. Implementation of Core Functions of ZUMI Products.
l Smart Device Binding.
To comply with the law, we will conduct legal identity verification of the smart device through scrutiny of factory records and device serial numbers. Additionally, we'll gather handheld terminal device details such as network specifications, mobile model, brand, system version, language, country, and time zone. This information aids in diagnosing product issues and displaying accurate time.
Upon network connection requirement, the smart device will seek location, Bluetooth, and camera permissions (for QR scanning). It will also retrieve available Wi-Fi networks and configure network settings via the ZUMI APP, wherein users input their Wi-Fi credentials. This data solely facilitates IoT device network distribution. Wi-Fi credentials are encrypted and stored locally on the device, not transmitted to any server.
Furthermore, optimal networking methods will be selected based on IP and network signal assessments to ensure device connectivity stability.
l Smart Device Control
Upon binding a smart device, you gain access to control its functional services via [Home->Device List] in the ZUMI APP. When operating the device, we collect your device information and operating instructions for control purposes. Additionally, during the device addition process, please carefully review and consent to the pertinent privacy policy. The information you provide will be uploaded to our server as control instructions for operating the IoT smart device.
l Intelligent Task Setting
Smart devices report event information, sourced from the devices you add. The specific information available depends on the extent of your privacy authorization for each device. Each added device presents its respective privacy policy terms from the provider, granting you the choice to consent. This information can be utilized to create personalized intelligent tasks.
